The story
Telsem — from the Arabic for talisman — are small cases worn for protection since medieval times, once holding tiny parchment prayers written by debtera. The engraved patterns are the same knotwork found in illuminated manuscripts.
A small silver telsem case on a chain of hand-made links, engraved with a protective pattern. Traditionally held a prayer scroll; today it holds a wish.
